1/2 cup chopped onions 4 Tablespoons water 2 cups tofu 2 Tablespoons chopped chives 1 Tablespoon vegetable seasoning 1 teaspoon yeast flakes 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon salt In skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté chopped onions and water. Add tofu; mash with a fork until scrambled. Add chives, vegetable seasoning, yeast flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, and salt. Heat until flavors are blended.

DIXIE'S LENTIL ROAST
2 cups cooked lentils 1 large egg, beaten 1 1/2 cups corn flakes 1/2 teaspoon sage 1 medium onion, minced 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) 3/4 cup milk (non-fat) 1/2 cup oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 can cream of mushroom soup Sort through and discard any imperfect lentils, small pieces of rock or twigs, etc. Rinse.
Cook 3/4 cup dry lentils in 3 cups of water. Add more water if needed to keep lentils submerged. While lentils are cooking, mince onion and chopped nuts. Measure all other ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Add cooked lentils. Pour mixture into a lightly greased baking dish. Bake at 350?? Fahrenheit for 1 hour. Serves 6-8.
