Partial Hospitalization Program

The Partial Hospitalization Program at Long Beach Community Medical Center is dedicated to treating adults with psychiatric illness whose symptoms are too severe to be managed in outpatient therapy, yet do not require an around-the-clock, controlled environment. Partial Hospitalization serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and can be a transitional step between the medical center and residential setting.

Long Beach Community Medical Center's Partial Hospitalization Program assists individuals in achieving optimal health and independence by restoring and encouraging maximum activity.

Partial Hospitalization is an outpatient-hospital level treatment for patients in acute crisis. It provides diagnostic, medical, psychiatric, and psychosocial pre-vocational treatment modalities usually found in a comprehensive hospital inpatient program. The program is an intensive, 5-day-a-week regimen.
